Liathach Ridge, Torridon. GoPro POV & Drone footage

We caught a beautiful day to do this walk, very lucky indeed. I was rather nervous, being a reasonably new mountain walker, and tried YouTube to see what it was really like. Whilst there are plenty of videos, I didn't really see one that really got the terrain and exposure across.

So, I took my GoPro and Drone with me, and got some great footage! I've had battery power for about 50 minutes flight time for the drone, so I saved that for the pinnacles section.

Just been reading your 'general discussion' post and was interested to read: -

"my own view now I've done it is that Crib Goch is more exposed and more frightening [than the Liathach pinnacles]"

I've done Crib Coch countless times, but I've read so many foreboding warnings that Liathach is a 'serious' mountain, so I've been wary of it, and content to admire it from its neightbours. So I found it fascinating to get a drone's eye view of the ridge. I'll dare to give it a go next time I'm up there!

Weather does play a big part. I found Aonach Eagach scary (in a downpour) whereas Curved Ridge, which is graded harder I think, seemed a breeze (in nice weather!).

Well done anyway and a great piece of filming.

Thanks for sharing the video, gives a better appreciation of the ridge and how difficult it might be to scramble.
