I did Ben Cruachan in April 2014 in winter conditions, snow, ice and fogy on the top...no any views from the summit...

Here are some photos from 2014

But today...it was a different story ! :D 8) :D
After my refreshment ( great visibility and views too ) in Lake District on friday 21.10. 2016 where I did 7 hills, incl. Helvellyn via The Striding Edge which was one of my goals for this year
( report here: http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=67750 ) , I wanted to do some Munros for a change
Only one day off after working weekend today, wanted something nearby and get back home early. The forecast looked great for Argyll, so I decided to do Ben Cruachan again - together with Stob Diamh via the ridge. :D
...................................................................................................................................................................................................

Photostory:

I decided to do it unusually anti-clock wise as I believed that from this side I will see the mighty Ben Cruachan all the time...all the walk...from different levels and different angles.......to catch as much as possible of Cruachan's beauty :D

Cruachan on a fine October day is a great choice.

Cool.

Such great visibility

I've never been lucky enough to be up on a clear day.and wondered what the drops between Diamh to Cruachan looked like.

A beautiful iconic ridge. I did it in white, but it looks every bit as good in green! Glad you had such good weather for it (though I know you don't let clag and wet put you off.... :D )

What a great day you got. I've still to do these two and seeing your photos convinces me the journey down will be well worth it. :D
