My 12 yrs old first big hill. My dog's first big hill. And we were rewarded. It was proper winter conditions which rewarded us with glimpses of Lanarkshire right through to almost white-out conditions. We ascended a a smart pace glad for the stability waling poles offered us as the ice was extensive in places.

The summit trig was quickly visited; the 20 mph wind brought the temperature down quickly. A sip of Bovril and some McDog food saw us recharged for the descent.

Good to see the younger generation out on the hills  Must be something about this hill - can remember having difficulty staying upright on the cairn and over at the trig as it was so windy earlier this year - cheers :)
