A brilliant New Years walk around some Far Eastern fells. Taking in Place Fell and Beda Fell to help towards the second round and also including three other summits.

Weather crisp but with a cold wind - strangely cloudy on the High Street fells but gin clear elsewhere.

And again - a light dusting of snow has fallen overnight on the higher fells.

After descending to Boredale Hause it's an easy wander up the other side (coast to coast path) - Northern (and higher) Angletarn Pike in view

Steel Knotts from Martindale

The route up Steel Knotts from Martindale is fairly gradual as it slants up it's Western flank. I wasn't complaining as this was my third ascent from road level today.
