I see from your route you came down to the lochan and back up. Do you think that was better than staying up.

Keep the usual way up, it will be easier and safer. Also the bottom is very boggy under the snow - some really bad muddy steps there, but the top is hard ground...rocky and icy so choose carefully the right day for it and enjoy
