This had been ear marked for my second summit of the day and as I had been coming from the Bridge of Balgie side it made perfect sense to approach this Corbett from the NE side. I parked up about a 300 m beyond the tree plantation on the East side of the road at a parking area about the 300 m contour and where there has been made an access to a new vehicular bridge across the Allt Bail a' Mhuilinn. From this bridge there is a ATV track circling Creag Dhubh on the South side and heads over the North top and continues South to the actual summit

Heading back to the car. I can highly recommend this route in poor conditions not wet underfoot, good track to follow to the summit and easy gradient, enjoy the views.

I plan to do this from Glen Lochay and combine with Meall Ghaordie.

I did this today. I thought the cairn 200m north from the large stone you refer to was higher. I touched both anyway.

Interesting route Rod - was going to do this one from Glen Lochay but I may switch now.

Hopefully I can avoid the puncture I picked up on that road this time last year

I'd definitely do it. This way not only is there a nice easy walking gradient all the way with an ATV track to follow it has the bonus of the wee coffee shop etc at the Bridge of Balgy

They certainly have Gordie, hope you treated yourself to a coffee afterwards. Pity about the lack of views, did it clear up at all during your walk, it looks cold.

It started snowing ten minutes in to the walk and never really stopped other than to change to rain on the lower ground when I got back to the car. I needed to look at your report again to see the views.

Well all I can say is you deserved better weather being at the summit for 8.30am good effort
