Sunny and warm weather had me looking for wee hills and I'd looked at Eigg earlier in the month so it re-surfaced as a possibility.
Original plan was to do an evening walk on the Thursday and a morning walk on the Friday but in the event I had itchy feet sitting in my camping pod and succumbed to the temptation of an afternoon walk despite the heat.
I was labouring a bit at the start and thought I may have to abandon but then a breeze got up and accompanied me more less all the way up and down.
I found the going very easy up to the 330m contour of the bealach. Thereafter a little bit more effort needed on steeper ground. Before that, though, I was able to spend a wee while admiring the dramatic gully and cliffs over on the south side of the ridge. I considered detouring west to get a different vantage point but left that for another time.
A gentle scramble leads up out of the gully and after that the path contours round the following lumps and bumps on the way to the top. Once there I had a look around to see if I could photograph the nose but I didn't have the nerve to look too far over the edge and I made a mistake in not looking for a different viewpoint that I know exists to the north west of the summit. Still, I can do that another time.
Lots of white butterflies on the way up.

Sheep sheltering from the sun.
A fine walk but I did not and could not spend enough time looking for viewpoints as I was distracted by the time and the need to get down and have a rest before my evening walk.
