The Merrick the highest and busiest Border Corbett

Two down two to go, Sunday had promised to be the best weather so this had to be the hill to do. I have been looking forward to doing this one for a long time now and it certainly did not disappoint especially since as most of the climb up saw low cloud shrouding the summit top only for it to open up and to clear after ten minutes after reaching the summit.

From the car park walk along the path marked The Merrick Trail, soon you will find this gate walking along a well used and established path

At the back of the bunkhouse you cross a track and pass through a gate before entering a steeper climb through the woods

Hope so! I'll go mid-week, we arrive and leave on the Saturday and OH wants to explore the old bookshops which will probably be quieter during the week, then we can leave him there and go walking lol
