Braved the high pollen count forecast and had an enjoyable short walk up and round Craigendarroch.

Only uncomfortably steep for a short way at the start, Otherwise just steep!

Lovely woods varying from oak lower down to birch in the middle and pine at the top! An information board describes how remnant coppiced oaks are still visible from days when these were used for wheel making.

Quite a long steepish descent of zig zags on the north side. Sore knee started up but settled down again once I got my poles out.

That looked like a nice walk in the woods. We have often passed them and it was interesting to see what they were like. A good one for autumn I think.

Yes, I think autumn would be good for the colours or winter for more of a view through the foliage on the north side.
