Bynack More and Meall a'Bhuachaille

We'd booked into the Youth Hostel for Friday night on account of the forecast (although it turned out to be miles better) and it seemed as good a place as any to start the walk to Bynack More on the Saturday.

The Hostel basically screams at you to climb Meall a'Bhuachaille while there and a quick check on the map suggested that it wouldn't add many miles to the walk to do so - only a fair chunk of ascent. Decision made.

Good weather on the whole with showers never really reaching where we were but a stiff and cold breeze on the Munro summit.

Excellent tracks on both hills made for good progress (and an easier day for tired legs after yesterday).

Descending to Ryvoan Bothy

We messed up and tried to take a direct line from the path at Ryvoan Bothy to the other path heading up Bynack More. This is wet and rough and it would have been far easier to just follow the tracks round and not take the short cut.

We visited An Lochan Uaine on the way back. A popular spot and warm enough for people to be swimming!
