We climbed this with an 8 year old who has a lot of hiking experience. It was a day when rain was pouring and the winds howling (barely blue to stand upright). The first 1.5 hours is on a gravel car road, with clearly marked signage for Meikle Bin. It is only the last 30 minutes that the path turns steeper and a bit boggy. A lot of adults could run or bike up this hill.

We had no views, but the walk is what makes being in weather really worthwhile. The Carron Valley is lovely - lot of wild flowers, mushrooms, and the lake below.
