Hi, I'm new to this site, found it while gooleing walks in Scotland. You all seemed such a friendly and helpful bunch, I thought I'd join the forum.

My husband and myself (and the dog) are coming up to the west coast of Scotland around the end of May begining of June and will also be visiting the Isle of Skye and Harris, we are camping in our Bongo.

We are in our late forties and have recently taken up hill walking, so far we have walked up Helvelyn, Snowden and Ben Nevis which was done on our silver wedding anniversary.

We are both looking forward to to seeing what the west coast has to offer us.

Bye for now

Janet

Hi Janet and welcome to walkhighlands :D

Hope you have a good trip at the end of May. Sorry we haven't covered Harris yet - its not even that far from where I live. I have cycled round it and the beaches on the west side are absolutely stunning so hope you get some sunshine. Plenty of places to park the Bongo I think, too. I've just converted our Citreon Berlingo into the smallest two person campervan ever seen.
