Nice one. Looks like lots of fun, Matt.

I'll have to do something similar, going to be a little paddle-biased but there have been a few other trips too! Will look out some photos tonight.

I've been tying up ends on the Marilyn front. Now need ones in Pairc, Taransay and Pabbay,
and I guess I will never finish as am too much of a feartie for the St. Kilda sea-stacks....but it's been good while it's lasted.

1. Creag Scalbsdale R,s final highland Marilyn
2. Sgurr Marcasaidh my final highland Marilyn
3. Beinn Mheadonach our joint final mainland Marilyn
4. Sgurr na Stri (not the summit, but has the better photo) our joint final Skye Marilyn
5. Y Aran R's final Welsh Marilyn
6. Carnedd Llewllyn my final Welsh Marilyn

Scariest hill...never meant to do this bit of the Nantlle ridge in this weather

2nd scariest hill. Missed the line down on the Shiants and ended up bum sliding down the cliff in slippery waterproof trousers(no photo)

2017 in pictures - great idea :D :D :D

We had a good year hill-wise: collecting Munros, Corbetts, Grahams, even a few Sub'2 Marylins. 83 summits altogether... Some of the best moments:

January
Winter was non-existent, but cloud inversions happened everywhere we went...

Fionn Bheinn:
Image
Ben Wyvis:
Image

February
A short month but at last some snowy-icy conditions!

Celebrating Valentines Day Panther style, on Fannichs ridge:
Image

March
Many trips, mostly Grahams and Corbetts, but the best was Beinn na Lap through the back door... a good way to turn a boring Munro into an exciting trip!

Summit pano:
Image
You can move that mountain if you just believe... You can move that mountain down into the sea...
Image

April
Another good chunk of C's and G's...

...including the last touch of winter madness...
Image
...but the highlight of the month was the spring WH Meet.
Image

May
Fantastic month, superb weather. Back to Munro bagging! And a very special group of Munros: we started our Fisherfield campaign.

The slabs of Mullach Coire Mhoc Fhearchair:
Image
Mountain madness returns:
Image

June
Weather took the turn for worse, but we had 2 weeks of hols planned and didn't shy from walking in the rain :D We visited many interesting places, including...

... the less know parts of Trotternish Ridge:
Image
...spooky plane crash sites:
Image
..and continued our Fisherfield campaign:
Image

July
The wildcamping month!

We returned to the Fisherfields once again...
Image
...and survived Armegeddon on A' Mhaighdean:
Image
Later in the month, bagging Beinn Trillieachan, I caught up with Kevin on Corbetts!
Image

August
This was the month of rocky hills!

Fun on Foinaven:
Image
Exploring gorges in Torridon:
Image

September
Fighting health issues, we pushed on...

The mountain of the month was Streap...
Image
... but we appreciated easier hills, like the Bennachie complex:
Image

October
A quieter month due to unsettled weather.

Hills without views, but with bog in abundance
Image

November
First touch of frost and snow!

Birthday girl going winter-mad on Garbh Bheinn:
Image
Another superb WH Meet...
Image
...and true winter wonderland:
Image

December
Usually a month dedicated to Christmas rush, but we managed to squeeze in a couple of hills...

...and fun it was :D
Image

If I can have just one wish for 2018, I wish for the New Year to be as good as the passing one!

Merry Christmas Everyone :D

Sgurr - love the "photo montage". Some great and very unusual hills in your bag this year!

BP/Kevin/Lucy - yet more proof that you lot never stop wandering! Long may it continue...and keep up the daftness!

Love your year BP. We did get up ONE Munro this year(with friends)r, just to prove we still can.

Mal, you can do any combination of photo montages on this site. Have great fun with it

I tried to stick to one trip/photo a month but got a bit carried away a couple of times...

January
A fairly mild weekend late in the month allowed me to squeeze in a good 20 miles or so in the Cairngorms while checking up on Corrour bothy:
Image

February
Mostly a poor month for walking, but torrential rain and melting snow briefly stopped down in Glen Affric:
Image

March
A hard choice for the highlight. Was it staying in An Cladach bothy on Islay (with some nocturnal ramblings)...
Image

...or was it a walk over Sgurr nan Eugallt to Barisdale?
Image

April
Much more cycling this year, including a 6 night bothying /cycling tour that took in Coulin, Skye, Ardgour and the Kinlochleven meet:
Image

May
Another hard choice, with the feel of an early summer while walking from Inverlael to Aultguish...
Image

...and again crossing the Cairngorms from Glenmore to Braemar (with a night at Bob Scott's):
Image

June
Another poor month, but saved late on by an overnight trip to Olisdal bothy on Skye, and a wander round the Idrigill coast:
Image

July
Mostly spent working down south, but there's always time to slip in an after-work summit camp on Cul Mor on one of those rare days at home:
Image

August:
From Spey Dam to Spey Bay on the bike - a fantastic day out:
Image

September
A 3-way tie between going home to Wales and going up Tryfan and Bristly Ridge for the first time in about 8 years...
Image

...going coast to coast up the Great Glen on a big green thing...
Image

...and finally reaching that most coveted of bothies - Kearvaig (but not in the big green thing):
Image

October
Mostly short days out in October, but a lovely last autumn wander over Iorguill and Beinn Enaglair before the snow hit (to complement Mal Grey's winter shot):
Image

November
Little of consequence other than cycling down to the Loch Laggan meet and joining Alteknacker for one of the finest late autumn/early winter days out on the hills north of Kinloch Hourn:
Image

December (so far)
A temporary new home in the NE and a mild patch before it all went icy, and I took the train down to the North Yorkshire Moors for a wander over Roseberry Topping:

JAN Didn't see much of my only 2017 Munro but successfully executed my hydration plan and didn't aggravate my hernia.

FEB An abandoned walk to Ben Hee did yield some good views.

MAR At Rackwick Bay I was put off a burn crossing as I hadn't the means to keep my feet dry and didn't fancy a soggy footed walk so diverted south to The Berry...

One of the highlights of my walking year. Not much of an ascent or walk effort wise but amazing colours.
