Kilchrenan (Taychreggan) to Glencruitten House

This route has most likely been a pilgrimage route from Glasgow/Loch Lomond/.. towards Iona, as the isle of Kerrera was then a more common connection to get across to Mull. For that reason the walking route is from Taychreggan to Kilmore..and then divert over Glencruitten to get to Oban.

This route follows the old Drove Road between Kilmore (from Kerrera) and Taychreggan. Taychreggan (close to Kilchrenan) was the port at Lochawe to transport cattle across. Cattle would be 'droved' from Mull and other islands, over Kerrera towards Crieff or even Falkirk in the east.

Time and ascent are to be added still. You can look up the profile under GPS planner, then select profile in the menu on the left.
