The first day of a week in Fort William! It had been a great journey up, with some fabulous view - this is Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Dothaidh.

The next morning, the forecast for the Lochaber district wasn't great, so we headed east to Laggan.

The track to Lochan na h'Earba was a delight, winding effortlessly through a variety of interesting scenery. At one point a startled snipe took off from right next to my feet, with its characteristic zig-zag flight.

We decided to go for the bigger hill. It was turning into a really enjoyable walk.
