Ben Lawers & Beinn Ghlas No.20 & 21

I would not have fancied attempting this from the loch! I started from the visitors centre and that was tough enough. Climbed up Beinn Ghlas while being battered by the wind. Nice sunshine until 100ft from summit of Ben Lawers. Robbed of the view at the end, what a sickner! Never mind!

Took the right hand path before you head up to Beinn Ghlas summit again to traverse round and back to the car at the visitors centre.

Nice pics DJG78, am hoping to do some of these in early September this year. Your report makes these two sound quite straightforward so should be do-able for me and Mrs skuk.

ah my nemesis’ surfaces, i have tried to go up Lawyrs twice once from Beinn Ghlas, conditions were terrible driving blizzard and i had to make a hasty retreat, and once as part of the lawyers 7 got as far as Meall Greigh and my knee packed in,

I will beat these mountains eventually

Hi Mate, yeah they are pretty easy. Visitors centre is easy to find then there is a really good path all the way up with signs aswell so you shouldnt have any problems. I recommend returning round the back of Beinn Ghlas as you get a nice view of the alternative vally. (cant remember what its called as i did this a while ago and have only just got round to loading them on here hence why my report is a bit vague!) Thanks for your comments. Hope you get the weather for the view!

I managed to get a 10 sec break in cloud to take that snap. I was chuffed because it was pea soup after that for the remainder of the climb!

It was pea soup for most of ours too - luckily they came out towards the end of the walk
