Long drive in. Confusion over how to enter Glen with the private gate being locked at the cottage. Obtained permit from old lady after knocking on cottage door for a while.

Parked before track up glen as suggested in walk description. No views from summit due to fog for a change :-( Completed the summit of both before heading back to car on same route. Intended to do other two with my bike next time around as its a long trek up the road back to car otherwise. Saw lots of people on bikes doing the same! Also spotted the biggest herd of deer i have ever seen! There must of been a hundred of them. Good day but pretty featureless munros.

Good day but pretty featureless munros.

You'll enjoy the other two Strathfarrar Munros - they are alot more rugged.

They look nice and unrugged to me :D I'm gonna have to find out more about access to the Strathfarrar Glen as I don't fully understand it all yet...

Got a convenient link to it? I can see the MCofS one and am going to read that shortly...

I think that is the one he means - the MCofS organise the access (the page is linked to from the description of the walk on here)

Simples...show up, at the moment they open the gate in the moring, be warned there'll probably be a queue in front and behind you. Drive like mad to get to the start point. Run round the four Munros as fast as you can as time is limited. Cos once that gate is locked at night you're scuppered. Having said that its locked during the day, but all you have to do to get out is knock on her door and show her the pass you got at start of day and she'll let you out.

Only Munros we've done that have felt like we were in a race! Everybody was horsin' round as fast as possible!

Its an absolutely beautiful glen, I can't honestly get my head round that one person owns the whole thing.
