Three Munros.........just three Munros.........three very specific Munros mind, but just the three of them

Oh, and the last 4 New Donalds that I still have to visit.

Beyond that to just keep regularly knocking off Corbetts, Grahams and Sub 2000s throughout the year.

.....but if I still haven't compleated the Munros by the end of [replace 2018 with] 2019 I should seriously consider hanging up my boots

Saves typing it all out again

Stay this side of the grass.
Attempt the newly discovered Marilyn Beinn Dearg near Cape Wrath.
Have already booked a cottage in the lakes, so hopefully a few more Wainwrights
Am staying somewhere good in May, and have sketchy plans to climb something interesting for my 80th.

A lot depends on whether husband's knee improves..(.he has put in for a new one) and/or I feel mean enough to go and do stuff on my own.....

Love to actually climb another Munro at some point as it seems far to long ago when I last did, apart from that just whittle down to remaining Wainwrights on round two so I can knock them off in 2020.

I must have 37 Wainwrights to do - 14 in the North West and 23 in the North - leaving Binsey for a precarious last minute finish.

I'll set the target at 10 Munros again and see what happens - I want to work on them a bit more seriously once the Wainwrights are done, so I need to get in practice. And maybe if I aim for 5 Donalds I'll manage it...

A reapeat of the island summer, to some extent - I want to get back to Uist and Harris, and I'm hoping to get to the Small Isles. I'm going to Sabhal Mor for a week again, so maybe something on Skye, and maybe another bothy night on Islay while I'm in Tarbert... I doubt I'll beat 2018's 11 islands, though.

Years ago now I walked the Pennine Way as far as Horton in Ribblesdale, so my plan for Easter is to pick up from there and go on to Alston. That'll get me a handful of Dales and North Pennine Hewitts, and I'd love to get back to Wales and do Cader Idris. I doubt I'll have time for anything else in England after all the rest!

Not sure why I didn't post last year!!

This years plans are to help Parminder pick off as many Munros as possible, which also helps my 2nd round gather pace, I am going to be bold and try and reach 200 by the end of the year - eek, that's 73.....

I will also try and polish off as many Marilyns south of the Central belt as possible, only trouble - they are either in the south west or west.

Mull and a few of the surrounding islands such as Iona, Staffa, Lunga (Threshnish), Ulva, Gometra and perhaps Inch Kenneth.

To actually get out more. Work, Weather and Laziness for not having done more this year is my excuse but more of than not it is the latter reason.

Primarily I need to make use of my holidays and get back to the north west coast. Wester Ross, Assynt and Sutherland.

Better planning of journeys is also a goal.

Have my new boy so starting back at 0 with the Munro's! First year I had Moss we did 20 so he has a high target to beat that...at the moment though I'd really just like to get him to be a nice, reliable, trustworthy hilldog  Yeah, I'll keep dreaming!

I'd like to do Ben Nevis via the CMD, but that will just be me and Moss if we go for it, and Lochnagar because if we get those then Moss catches up to me as they are the only two I've done that she hasn't.

I had a walk report target of 250 miles for this year, which I managed, so I think I'll set the target a bit higher (and change the distance measurement for convenience!) to 500km.

The advantage of having no fixed plan is that I can just roll out the same plan each year  .......

Some longer camping trips incl summit camps
See an otter
Try to get to more Knoydart and/or Torridon corbetts
Try to get to another island corbett

That'll do for now - all the best to everyone for 2019 - cheers :)

I'll stick to not making any specific plans, but since I enjoy islands, the NW Highlands, bothies, summit camps, cycling/walking combos and odd routes, I'll aim to keep doing those things next year :D . In the longer term, I'd like to finish the Munro tops, English Hewitts and the Donalds, but there's no real feeling of urgency for any of them.

Really enjoyed some of the long walks we did this year, Jocks road (and back), three stages of the SNT from Blair Atholl to Kingussie over a few days was spectacular. Had a great time in Skye for a week.

This year I plan to spend more time on the West coast, I'm not bored of the Cairngorms but since they are my nearest playground I usually end up there. I do fancy a bit of variety this year.

Need to work out how to pack my rucksack for solo trips now Jen is no longer a part of my team, need to also think whether I keep the brand new MSR elixir 3 man tent. It's light enough but a bit large for just myself.

Ben Vane is on my list for 2018. I've made it to the Arrochar Alps 3 times this year and only managed Ben Vorlich. I hope to find a way to avoid the new parking charges. 8)

The last few years have been exceptionally difficult on a personal level, I plan to walk my way to happiness this year. I'm never as happy as I am when I have passed the last pylon and my phone signal is long gone. My target is a walk or a hill a week but I may well just dissapear along the whole of the SNT. It is always at the back of my mind for some reason.

A navigation course to improve my confidence in bad weather. I can use a map and a compass but have much still to learn.

And finally, to write more walk reports.
