Any pics Doug, this is the same route I took when doing my 3 peak challenge. Grains Gill seemed never ending on the way up.

The Corridor Route is a much better route in terms of scenery and crowds.

I would agree the Corridor Route is nicer, however, my wife wasn't keen on the little scramble bit and the step across the waterfall when we did it that way.

I like the Grains Gill approach. leaving the corridor route for my return having taken a quick look around the Pike's summit before heading for the peace and quiet of Lingmell. Al in all possibly one of the best walks in the district.
