After a night at the excellent bothy at Barrisdale we set off for our return to Inverie, and whilst our ferry was not until 6.30pm we wanted to ensure we had as much time as possible at the Old Forge before we left, so it wasn't going to be a leisurely stroll.
The initial climb to Mam Barrisdale was harder than it should have been with the effort from yesterday still in the legs, and it as a relief to be able to drop our overnight bags and shoulder a light pack for the ascent to Ladhar Bheinn.
The route was fairly straightforward, being pretty much NW all the way, although there is a fair bit of up and down before reaching the summit (and of course on the way back).
Once back to Mam Barrisdale we pushed it all the way back to Inverie, arriving before 3pm, so plenty of time to enjoy some liquid refreshment before our ferry.
It was just a shame that the weather cooled down quite a bit, although it was still pleasant to sit in a deck chair looking out across the water and airing my aching feet.
