My first Graham!
I know most of you super mountaineers will probably try very hard not to laugh your heads off
, but remember... this is a girl who is used to fighting wind(-mills), not steep ascents... I'll beat you on a bike in a Dutch polder anytime!
Was knackered when I got on top, but the views... the views... still getting used to a three-dimensional world, but LOVING it!
Okay, here's the walk in colour
The route
What's yet to come...
The first views half way up
Once through the dense conifer forest, blue skies!
An fellow traveler basking in the sun (still have to find out what caterpillar?)
Then for the final climb! Getting steeper!
Ascent, descent, ascent, descent... driving my legs to despair...
And then finally...
... the top and the stunning views!
And then they ask me why I moved to Scotland...
Well, partly to escape people...
... find true wilderness...
... and enjoy a smooth pint after a walk...
