Blackwater dam - new fence

Blackwater dam - new fence

Postby Plavuizen » Mon May 20, 2019 9:17 pm

Hello,

Not sure this is the right place to post this message (no doubt I’ll receive comments when not), but last week I noticed a new fence was made at the north end of Blackwater dam near Kinlochleven. The old fence, based on a lot of internet research, was easily and often crossed, the new fence is considerably more difficult to cross. See picture below. Not sure how the south end looks like as I changed my route from crossing the dam southbound to taking the path north-east to Loch Chiarain and Loch Treig.

That appears to be a picture of an Australian dam. Maybe they just don't like people walking all over their nice dam. It might wear down and let the water out.

Bit extreme, what's the harm in crossing the dam. Done it a few times before. :?
