1200-1545,
John and I, drive over Lecht towards Tomintoul and park at Chapeltown, car park by church. Track thro farm and cattle being loaded up - very noisy coos. Track/path up ladder hills excellent with some peat hags on summit ridge, 30 min tramp to trig and sleety squall for 30 mins whilst on summit, great mossy/heather descent NW/N onto ascent track.
Cooks carin left for another day as bridge washed away at Luie.
Day finished in style at the whisky castle in Tomintoul - lots samples, free glass and ice cream, cuddly westie (Munch) for Ewan and £400, No1 bottle 14yr old sherried tobermory for JC as investment alongside 6yr old sherried Talisker.
A rest day for the Munro boys but jamie/Jim do cycle up Gellaig Hill behind the gaff.
