According to my training schedule I need to do a 15 mile run that weekend. I think I'll take advantage of the setting, park the car at Morvich, run along the Affric-Kintail Way almost as far as Alltbeithe, then head back west along Gleann Gniomhaidh over the Bealach an Sgairne and back to Morvich. That should take me pretty close to 15 miles. I run as slow as a week in Forfar but if anybody is stupid/masochistic enough to wish to participate in this madness then feel free to join me. Realistically though I expect no takers

OK, getting quite close now, and very much looking forward to my first WH meet since 2016!
My plans (oh please Weather Gods, for once be nice to me!!!
) are to head north west on the Monday evening or Tuesday before the meet and to have a few days to myself (targeting Strathfarrar, Mullardoch, Affric, possibly a day on Skye e.t.c). If that all goes to plan (miracles do sometimes happen!
), my plans for the weekend itself may well involve something along the lines of A Ghlas Bheinn, Beinn Fhada, Sgritheal, Ciste Dubh, Saddle e.t.c. Sgurr Mhic Bharraich also looks like a cheeky wee Corbett option too for the Sunday perhaps.

There's a cheeky wee group thinking of doing the Saddle (+ the other one) at some point during the trip. I'm coming up on the Wednesday as are a few others. There's also scurrilous talk of Bla Bheinn if the skies are clear

I'd also be keen to Beinn Fhada (+ the other one) but probably wouldn't be able to keep up with the likes of you young whippersnappers Mr Dewar.

I still have Beinn Fhada to do so I may just happen to be on that particular Munro on the Saturday ( not 100% certain) until nearer the time, wont be able to stay overnight tho,but people will get the chance to meet a WH legend.

There's currently a half baked idea about getting a boat across to Barrisdale Bay and climbing Ladhar Bheinn

It does sound a bit half baked. Interesting, but half baked!

Have walked twice with Gammy, once in mid-August snow/sleet on Skye, and once in glorious weather on the Sisters. I reckon a 50% hit rate on Scottish hills is pretty decent!
