Finally got to sample the Aonach Eagach ridge. Slightly damp conditions with the odd shower. Plenty of mist made the walk more dramatic. Found this fairly straight forward, when compared to the pinnacles on An Teallach.
Below is vid of our day....watch this in 720p or 1080p, and in full screen. If your connection can handle it, as vid is

Thanks.

I expected it to be scarier. I think when you are doing it you concentrate hard, it's only when you look back from where you've came you start to think....WOW!!

Fab walk though.

some of those pics were excellent - the mist certainly does add to the atmosphere. Looks like a challenging but fantastic walk!

Hi happyhiker,

some great photos to be had. The views to bidean nam bian were glorious also.

The actual phsyical exertion was minimal, if you have a decent enough fitness. More mental due to concentration.

3 of us descended clachaig gully which was fun, more concentration required....for about an hour, and using hands and feet!.

yeah it looks great - would love to give that one a go. I guess it's like most of them - it can look pretty full on but once you are actually on a ridge or doing a bit of scrambling it's not that bad. Mind you i'm just a novice when it comes to that so far!! :D

Nice vid

Can't wait to do the ridge. Think I'd avoid the Clachaig gully descent though - heard too many horror stories about it.

Hi highlandSC,

the Clachaig gully is fine....it's great fun. We had also heard horror stories which put most of our group off it, but 3 of us braved it. I did slip twice but no damage. I would state that it can be taxing on your knees, and flexibilty is required.
It dosn't matter which way you choose to come down, just as long as you get down safely and enjoyed the experience.

Paul.

What software do you use to make the videos? I've done a few in the past just with window movie maker but want to try something more powerful.

Woah, brilliant vid. I could watch that all day if I thought I could get away with it!

Along with kw1980's report, that's two awesome AE accounts doing the rounds at the moment.

sounds like a great weekend planned. We've got plans just to do some walking or cycling near Bridge of Orchy - taking in a bit of WHW on Saturday but don't think i'll be up any hills :-(
Should be great though if we get some sunshine!!
I look forward to seeing a vid of your exploits - you've set a standard now

Great film. I've put this walk in my favorites.

Does anybody know if this trail is possible in March-April? Or will there be to much snow or bad weather?
