Thanks for your help. As a followup, I wrote to ViewRanger and said>
"I just signed up for Premium w/Great Britain for a 7 day trial. I use the Walkinghighlands site regularly. Once I locate a walk of interest there and go to View Ranger to get the route use offline, do I still need to pay with credits to have the route downloaded? The webpage indicates that credits be used."
They responded:
"Sorry, those routes are not included in the subscription - the subscription gives you the colour Ordnance Survey routes and several features. More than 8% of routes are free, but the others are charged for, those charges being set by the route publisher themselves. But Walk Highlands do have the GPX files on their site - so if you download and open that in ViewRanger, rather than the link, you'll get a free copy of the route."
Is it somehow possible to download all (not at once) of the WalkingHighlands route and descriptions and pictures for offline use free of charge? ViewRanger seems to say that it is not. Are you the "route publisher."
Thanks.
Regards,
Tom
