Sunday evening around 6:30 and I'm browsing Monday's weather forecast on MWIS,70% cloud free and no rain, thirty minutes later and the car is packed and I'm Inverlael bound, four hours later and I'm settling down in the car hoping to get an early start the next morning. After a good 6 hrs kip I'm up and walking for 5:45am.

5:45am and looking back
.My walking companion today will be wee Isla, and a better companion you'd be hard to find
FB_IMG_1566916274641.jpg
Wee Isla
.It's a fair old walk in but the time passes quickly with Isla agreeing with all I say   in what seems no time at all 2 of the 4 targets come into view
FB_IMG_1566916285162.jpg
1st & 3rd target
and of course wee Isla is eager to get there
FB_IMG_1566916304970.jpg
Hurry up dad
.A fairly steep but straightforward pull up brings you to the first lochan
FB_IMG_1566916318643.jpg
Wee lochan before the final push
.not long after you arrive at the bealach where 3 of the 4 mountains rise up from
FB_IMG_1566916336306.jpg
Just amazing
I turn south here and climb the steep slopes following the wall, then through the wall to the first Munro

Hurry up dad
. Doesn't take me too long before I reach number 2 Cona' Mheall

Meall nan Ceapraichean
.I drop back down to the lochan for the 3rd and final time before the easy pull onto Meall nan Ceapraichean

.It's now decision time do I head for home or carry on to the 4th and final Munro of the day. When I started out this morning I hadn't really set myself and real targets of 1-2-3-4 Munro's but in weather like today it really was an easy decision to keep moving and complete the full round

. My wee walking companion Isla had been bouncing back and forward all day as spaniels do, always full of endless energy, but on this last Munro she was now starting to feel her efforts today
FB_IMG_1566916554568.jpg
A tired wee dug
.
All that was left now was the longish walk back to the car and the 4 hour drive back home, still life in the old man yet knocking this round in bang on 10 hours and my biggest solo round ever, when I say solo I mean without human company, but who needs human company when you have the best company any man can ever have, wee Isla you did me proud today.

You're galloping to the finish post - no stopping you now!

I love wee Isla - same colour as friends' working cocker - great hill companions they are. This brings back memories of doing these hills with Jack and Tess, no longer with us but the memories live on.

Perfect timing gammy - long day but a great result - you do want good weather for these hills. Was just a little SW of you on some corbetts - such a busy area that day, no wonder given the weather. Thanks :)

Great looking Isla - ya cannae beat a spaniel

Awed by that fact you could do the walk in good time then drive for 4 hrs - that would be the most dangerous part of the day for me

Great area and great photos :D

I've still a fair amount still to climb so way,way to early to begin thinking of the end.

Isla is a wee cracker,I never thought I'd be able to replace my last two spaniels Breagh & Kerry, but this wee one is totally amazing wee dug.

Brilliant report, wee Isla is some scribe

It was great fun following your progress live on FB Willie, you certainly made better progress than me and the crazy gang on our attempt.

Well done again, can't wait for the big day now. :D :D :D
