I've got a seas to summit one that folds into itself and is very small and compact, and also the north face flyweight one, which is compact but not as small. I always reach for the north face one as its a lot more function even though its a bit heavier.
I'm not sure if they still do the same version of the northface pack that I have anymore, it is a 19L backpack that takes a good load in, you can use the zipped pouch it folds into as an internal zipped pocket for you phone, wallet, etc, and it has a great outer pocket for putting stuff in it that you need quickly. It also has great shoulder straps that aren't padded but they are quite comfy.
I think the new version is smaller and lighter, and made with different materials but probably still worth looking at.
