Hello!

Hello everyone!

I hadn't been on the hills for 15 years, but, a sponsored climb of a snowy Ben Nevis reminded me of what I'm missing!

I'm a 34 year old publican from Airdrie, who is determined to spend more of my days off out in the wild instead of playing golf with pensioners and hairdressers! The only people who seem to not work on my day off!

I've got Ben Vorlich (Loch Earn) planned for this Monday. It was my first Munro many years ago and it seems like a sensible place to start off again from!

:D

Welcome to the community, enjoy Ben Vorlich and do put in a report. I've just got back from a round of golf accompanying my son. He started recently and is getting fairly good, I don't really play and after today I won't be bothering again, I'll be caddy to my son instead. I'll stick to the hills....

No. just "dead". Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Harry Secombe... They all played golf and look what happened to them!

Hello westendbar and welcome.
I am also intending to do Ben Vorlich very soon but hope to add Stuc a' Chroin as well. Can't make tomorrow or I would suggest meeting up but I am sometimes able to get away on a Monday, Tues - Fri are better days for me to head to the hills. Not looking brilliant on the weather front tomorrow, mainly light rain I think.
Best of luck anyway.
PS ignore the other philistines golf is game for superior beings(or masochists), was playing today in my first tie of the season and managed a 6&5 win(that will confuse them!!)
Cheers for now
Bruce

Brilliant mate!

Thanks for reply! I'm stuck to Monday's most of the the time!

Hoping to do a bit more when the football season finishes! Still playing 11s on Saturday & Sunday!

Done Ben Vorlich & SAC before, just trying to nurse myself back into it.
