Name that Corrie!

Hmmm! No takers! Obviously not as easy as I thought.
OK, clue time.
The high point immediately above the corrie is a Corbett, and there's a bothy near where the two glens meet just right of centre pic.

That's it! It's a wonderful looker, isn't it; and you wouldn't really see it from the map (at least I didn't!!).

Your turn...

Thanks. Aye, its a great coire. I needed your clue though. We descend from the north to Kinbreack in the dark, then straight up towards Sgurr Mhurlagain the next morning so didn't see it until we got onto the Druim Coire an Stangain Mhoir. Quite a surprise to see it open out like that!

Hmm, I'm a bit short of photos on my laptop. Let me see what I can find. Back shortly....

Nope, but you're close...

I'll give you that

Coire an Fhuarail is visable in the photo but I was actually I was thinking of Coire nan Eun which is immediate down on the left (and mark on the 1:50k OS) from where the photo taken; roughly NH038139

Aha! I have never actually been up Aonach Meadhoin - what I recognised in your photo was Mullach Fraoch-Coire in the background, which I had seen from a similar angle when I went up Ciste Dubh.

So I guessed the foreground hill was Aonach Meadhoin, and I knew its sub-peak and corrie were called Fhuarail. I did not know about the existence of Coire nan Eun, every day's a school day!

Will have a look tonight for something to post up.

No guesses, so time for a clue - this was taken on a recent walk of mine. There is a TR of the walk (but not this exact photo)
