A traverse over the Bidean mountains has been on my tick list for some time and when a fine weather window appeared in November , we went for it :)

Leaving a car at Loch Achtriochtan, we headed back up to the car park for the wee Buachaille. It as a fine crisp frosty morning in Glencoe and we set off up the Lairig Eilde beofre heading steeply onto the top of Beinn Fhada. The views were incredible and the Fhada ridge didn't disappoint! Up and over the bad step (crampons and Ice Axe essential!) and we soon reach the first summit - Sgreamhach. From here were headed n west and up and over Bidean before reaching the finally summit of Stob Coire nam Bieth, We had got the weather but as we descended steeply back into Glencoe the weather fronts were moving in an the blue skies were hidden by a blanket of cloud from the west, perfect timing for a change!! A great adventure - some photographs below
