A repeat of Norman's Law for us today, it was a bit muddy and calling back the dogs was maybe a bad idea...

HELP!

There are new signposts up along the route including some directing to a path that goes around the back of the big green barn that was just getting built when I was up the last time. Part of the path was flooded near the gate but it was possible to go around it and the path going up was very muddy - a second path perhaps made by the cattle was a slightly easier option at the first part and this rejoined the main path up. At the summit rather than going back the way we came we took a grassy track that took us down the north side to a wall around a field, this would probably have made an easier ascent too! At the wall there was a path well-used by cattle that followed the wall to a corral and the track that led back to the gate. I had hoped to do the full Walk Highlands route, but the track went through a field of cows so it was a no and we just returned the same way. Zena found herself a cow horn which she ran around with for a while, then Moss got hold of it and by the time we were half way down she had eaten it all

Oh no! All my nice local walks are becoming bog-fests. Very muddy up between the gorse bushes on Largo Law too, and the coastal path from St. Andrews to Kingsbarns has great stretches of mud.

Doesn't look like there will be many non-muddy walk options for a while yet! Unless walking in town which isn't much fun. The dogs love it though
