Not sure about the BB, but it could be Balfour Beatty, will remove Radium pollution (radioactive particles) from Dalgety Bay - remaining from when aircraft using instruments painted with radium were scrapped there after WW11. This work is supposed to start next month?

Spot on - the announcement about the clear-up was last week.

And very quickly solved too - well done! I didn’t even have to use my Rosamund Pike clue!

I’m afraid not - although it could be said that the CO “commands” a fine view...

It’s not just D that can be seen from a CO. There is also K, for example.

Sgurr was getting on the right lines but this is closer - CO is indeed Camera Obscura

My full clue would be

A matter of life and death scene shows a Camera Obscura* but the Camera Obscura in this clue shows us Dumfries

It’s not just Dumfries that can be seen from a Camera Obscura. There is also Kirriemuir, for example.

* The film "A matter of life and death" contains a scene in which the daily life of a village is viewed through a Camera Obscura
