Had intended just to get up early to get some sunrise photos (if conditions permitted). Was a wee bit late for that but did manage a bonus short walk/jog before the rain started.

Stopped off at Banff for (just past) the sunrise.

As a first shower arrives I get back in the car and decide to head for the Crovie car park.

Someone has sensibly cut a gap in the fence so that you can avoid the previously precarious pole dance around the end (though non-lazy people were still able to loop round to the proper start.

Two thirds of the way back to the car I made friend or they were possibly warning me off. I think this is a stonechat but whoever a pleasure to see.

If this is a stonechat then what surprised me was the tweets in between the chats but YouTube tells me this is the normal stonechat song.
