Thinking of Glen Dessary this weekend , does anyone foresee any parking or access issues at the road end ?
I don't fancy that lochside road journey to be in vain

The parking can actually be extremely busy there but I would imagine it'll be quieter than usual without bothies being open. Email the estate to see what the script is. It's been a while since I've been down there but there's a section of the road that just seems to be endlessly flooded too.

Does anyone know if the Glenfinnan car park has opened?
I know that the monument and cafe are closed but I was wondering if the carpark still would be open, so I can still access the mountains next week.

I don't know if the car park is officially open but there were several cars parked there on Monday.
You could try emailing them or phoning them.

Or just turn up. :D

The car park at Loch Mòraig today!

Went to do Ben Vuirich forgetting that's the starting point for Beinn a' Ghlo. Came back to sheer carnage. Probably 75 cars parked mainly on the verge or in the middle of a single track road. Hopefully nobody has a heart attack, puncture or breakdown because the chances of getting anything other than a car/SUV in and out of there are slim to none.

LLTNP is trialling a system for giving up-to-date advice about car parks and facilities in the NP, starting this weekend. Car parks will be monitored on Saturdays and Sundays and the status of each car park (full, spaces etc) can be found at:
