Having already done Geal Charn and A’Mharconaich that morning after a quick trip into Newtonmore for supplies decided to take advantage of the long daylight hours and hit this munro. Parked up on the lay-by off the A9 and headed back the hundred yards or so to pick up the track that leads you alongside the aqueduct. A lot of sheep around so Skye was restricted to the lead. A long walk in and you only start climbing when you have skirted past the Loch. Asked a lad coming down how long to get to the summit from this point and he said an hour and ten. A target set to beat (motivation) and off up the path. Eroded and a bit of a boulder factory near the top so not ideal for dogs but she is very nimble footed and coped ok. Summit reached in 55 minutes. Nice views from the top which was well timed as the weather was turning off to the west.
Coming off the plateau I heard people talking but couldn’t see anyone! Dismissed it as thought it must be hikers coming up from another direction and the sound was travelling.
