]363 days ago I did this trio in amazing weather.https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=92453..

Fast forward to Friday 18th of September 2020 is the quick and easy way to start my TR,,but like most 2020 has been a year like no other, and for me anyway I hope I never see the likes again.Just after my Skye trip my wife Elizabeth who had been fighting cancer for 10 years took a turn for the worse, and after a long battle finally succumbed to this horrible disease on January 13th 2020.
To say my family and me were, are devistaited is putting it mildly, and it has been a long road back, and will be for a long time yet.

During this time I was in need of two operations, one minor, one not so minor, the former was dealt with in February, the later was arranged for early April, then Covid-19 kicked off and a 3 month lockdown happened and everything ground to a halt. I finally managed to have the second operation on July 13th this year, and then began the long road to recovery and a new normal life whatever that may be.

Anyway that's the long version and finally last Friday I was back in the mountains, hoping to find some comfort and solace. I was accompanied by Polly who was very patient with a not so fit GLW.

Hopefully the pictures do the day some justice,it truly was an amazing day, with great company.

So there it is,not the most entertaining of TRs,but for me it's a personal landmark on the way to hopefully the end of my Munro journey, now only 20 left, the hardest part is knowing Elizabeth won't be with me to see my journey's end.
Dedicated to my amazing wife of 40 years, may you have found peace in your resting place .

Welcome back buddy! Good to see you out in the hills again. May you have many more days there and may they continue to bring you comfort and happiness. Good to see you have mastered the art of travelling forward in time as well!
