It was a bit of a grey, drizzly day but as we were only in the area for a few days we made the most of our time out and about. We parked at the car park at the beach. Only one other car there but I would imagine that in summer it would soon be full. We went onto the beach but the river was flowing too fast over the sand so had to retreat back to the road and cross the little bridge and head down the sheep track to find the path. It was quite easy to find and follow. However, in November it was very wet. You need to be prepared with decent waterproof boots or wellies. Nice view from the first summit looking back to the beach. Picked out a couple of glass bottles left in the cairn by some wallies. Onto the next little hill. Here the track is very boggy and we had to pick our way through the peat bog. Great views looking down the coast. It wasn’t windy but there was a swell coming in from the Atlantic making the crashing of waves impressive. Eventually made it down to the old, ruins. How people made a living there goodness knows! There is a post with an arrow on showing the track back to Mellon Udrigle. This track was more of a river than a path but there had been a lot of rain recently. A great little walk, well worth doing. :D
