Last hill of the decade

Well, another year and decade comes to an end;
And I hope everyone on WH achieved their goals, or some of them; if you set any for 2019.
If you've set any for 2020 hopefully you achieve some of them , if not all.

Thought I'd end the year by going up this Graham/ donald combo.
Just one or two points really. Once you get to the waterfall go up a bit on the left side and you'll eventually come to a wooden bridge to cross.

Theres another one about 500m past this one.
Finally got to meet Bart on the summit of Uamh Bheag, doesn't say a lot but hes a happy chap

And rather than come with me on the peat hag assault course, Bart decided he'd rather stay and watch over Ben vorlich and Stuc a chroin

Have I mentioned the peat hags yet

-they start before the summit of Uamh Bheag and finish after beinn nan Eun. Not too bad today really as most were frozen, and I wouldn't like to go through these after a lot of rain, or in the summer.
Dont tell yourself " phew, the hags are over" , because theres more, and when this lots finished , theres even more!!

I feel so sad and depressed about all that.

It has been tough, bit tougher for others more than me out there i can bet.
Keep telling myself we're coming out of this soon.
And fisherfield is in my head for June so that's keeping me going. Need a few big days out before then though to get the hill fitness back up. Sone of my wee local grahams ard good half days out but not up there with the big days and long high walks.

Fisherfield! That's a great project!
Since two years I have this in mind but until now I only have managed the Shenaval route in 2019 and a walk along Gruinard River to Loch na Sealga last summer. (I was lucky enough to start my holidays last summer, ten days before my bookings Sturgeon reopened the country).
It is a very impressive area which I also could admire from Sgurr Fiona in 2019, but I have great respect of this walk! Not sure when I will be able to do this walk, the only thing I know is, that I won't go back the route over the shenaval hut - that is a real slog! I rather prefer to go back along the river and follow the much gentler route over Sail Liath.
I have booked two weeks in Plockton and hope to manage some more walks in Kintail this summer.
But it is still sad that the anticipation is tarnished by this covid-stuff and all these uncertanties.
However, I'll keep my fingers crossed for our walking plans and I wish you good walks whereever you are and succesful preparation for this great walk! Looking forward to your report and maybe some pics.
