The third of our holiday Corbetts was Beinn an Eoin. As the high pressure was now building, the wind had dropped but the midges were out. All the previous reports of Beinn an Eoin combine it in a long day's circuit around Loch na h-Oidhche with Baosbheinn. On a previous trip I had taken the dogs up Baosbheinn, but that was long enough for them so this was a return to do Beinn an Eoin on it's own.
The start is at the parking spot beside the green-coloured Red Barn. The track heads SE into the wilderness. At the first high point of the track the views open up.

After about 5km the path crosses the Abhainn Loch na h-Oidhche and a few hundred metres further on by some large boulders we headed W and then followed an intermittent path up a gully to the left of the crags and on up onto the broad ridge. We continued along the ridge over a couple of tops and then a pull up onto a narrower ridge to the summit.

We descended back to the first col, and then dropped down eastwards to pick up the track beside Loch na h-Oidhche. At a little beach at the north end of the loch, Honey has her customary dip.
We didn't make it up any further hills on the rest of our holiday, but the dogs enjoyed the beach as much as the hills.
