this is tremendous route of two munros and a wonderful Corbett not to be missed if you are only munro bagging.
I have completed this route twice and found a new way off fuar tholl down a scree slope as shown on the map! there is a small cairn about half a km from the true summit west and a good scree path heading down to a wonderful small lochan that is green in colour for future reference
the walk has everything- basic scrambling - wonderful views - forest tracks etc.
I would do this walk time and again!
we had to park at a layby a mile east due ignorant parking in the layby next to the phone box which the walk highlands suggest by motor homes parking nose to tail so nobody could actually use the parking and they had no intention of walking the hills

Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
