Weather was great for a walk of this sort, not a drop of rain and very mild gusts.
This is by far one of my favourite walks to date

We done this in much colder weather with plenty of snow on the ground so we didn't see the aicraft bits. Looks like you got a nice day with the weather. Great pictures

Great photos Dirk. Wish i'd seen them before yesterday. We got to the top of Broad Cairn but it was really misty and had rained the whole time! we couldn't see the path across to Cairn Bannoch and there ddin't seem any point in continuing due to the weather (we walk for the views don't we?) we came back down sadly and continued round the Loch. The weather forecast had not been for rain or mist all day!

Myself, the other half and our do (one with the backpack) were not too bad, the little boy was a knackered, I think he had enough around Carn an t-Sagairt Mor.

Saying that we struggled getting out of the car after the 1hour drive back home

I fancy doing this walk when there is snow lying, Loch Muick looks cracking in the winter.

I think we missed some of the wreckage, I am certain there is 3 lots, we found 2

Yesterday was horrible, we did a short walk up Clachnaben and it was horrible.

Pity the weather was the same @ Loch Muick, it is a great walk

Depending on the weather in the coming weeks we are going to go for Tolmount and Tom Buidhe via Loch Muick or Callter

The other half was wearing a heart monitor for the journey

She burnt off 5790 calories and heart rate was (70% average)

The other half must still be young... I used to burn 5000 plus calories in a walk but now I've got old, unfortunately it doesn't work any more And that's despite walking very nearly as fast as I used to...
