When I told my friends that I was going on honeymoon to Scotland most thought ..why not somewhere warm? In fact I think lots thought I was barmy, my thoughts were confirmed when I told them that my wife and I were off to climb mountains and hopefully bag our first Munro.
We stayed at Kenmore on Loch Tay and it was beautiful, I have fallen for the place. Within the Kenmore Hotel (Scotlands Oldest) there is an actual hand written poem done in the hand of R Burns whilst he was staying there. Anyway we made it up the Munros on a cold May day and were very lucky with the views.
Celebrated behind the trig pillar with some wedding cake and a wee dram of The Macalan. Im hooked now and even though I cant get to the highlands due to where I live and other commitments it is wonderful to be able to read and look at all the reports and pictures on this marvelous web site.
