A bumper crop of excellent trip reports this month including some fantastic inversion photos taken in the Mamores by old danensian, an exhausting but inspiring round of the Fisherfield Six by jonnyhall with amusing details that may put you off camping with under a tarp during the deer rutting season, and a great description including icy conditions in Kintail by dooterbang who has just added a very watchable video to the post.

In the end the final choice came down to Jockstar's outing on Schiehallion enlivened by talk of brockenspectres and cute photos of cairn terriers in their jackets enjoying the wintery day and a great snowman on the way down, LeithySurburb's photos of Beinn an Dothaidh and Beinn Dorain, but in the end Paul Copestake has won the day with his detailed description of Liathach, an inspirational read particularly for anyone who hasn't yet tackled the infamous Torridon peak, especially liked the photos with the route drawn on. Congratulations Paul, £40 of Tiso vouchers are on their way to you. :D

Congratulations Paul! :D I enjoyed all the reports mentioned, but you must surely have the largest post/winnings ratio (or is it smallest? Hate Monday mornings - can't think straight) on this site

Great report and deserved victory. Honestly don't think my report deserved to be in competition with it  (maybe if there was a photo prize... ;)) .

Congratulations Paul - great report and the detail will be very useful when I hopefully get to Liathach :D .....and I can't get the imagery of ".... a Tolkienesk gate that I felt sure on a gloomy day would be guarded by Orcs and Goblins..." out of my head !! 8)

Congratulations - this was the report I was rooting for to win it! :D I can wait however... in fact, I'm still dreading it - but your photos at least give me a good idea what I'm in for and how to tackle it! I have yet to show this to the famous Richard - his mouth will be watering at the thought of those pinnacles!
