Got up bright & sparky on Sunday morning having taken advantage of the extra hour in bed, looked at the MWIS report & did a little dance.

At the ski center car park we had a brief debate about our route as i quite fancied going around Creag Dhubh up Cam Ghlean across the river & then up the ridge that tops out just before Stob a Ghais Choire. The general consensus seemed to be why cross a river if you don't have to plus the very boggy ground to get to the river. So we settled on the out & back route described here.

From the car park up the side of the chair lift is quite steep, when your just out of the car, but leavels out around 700m where the lift hut is. We didn't follow the path exactly from here, hopping & jumping our way through the boggy ground untill on the well defined ridge, grassy at first, but becoming stoney & with some snow lying for about the last 200m of ascent.

Snaps & chat with some folk at the top of Meall a Bhuiridh before dropping down onto the conecting ridge between Bhuiridh & the Creise ridge. This looks steeper & more difficult than it actualy is.

Lunch & more chat at the summit meeting some folk who were part of the walkhighlands meet. Sounds like you all had a great weekend. Thanks for taking the summit photos.

Then retraced our steps back across to Bhuiridh & down the ridge. We stoped for a while were it flatterns out around 700m to watch some deer, quite close up & thinking if they hadn't noticed us it's no wonder they get shot!

Then the final step descent down to the car park that was suprisingly quick & some how airy.

Excellent! Glad you got to meet some of our gang and hear tales from the epic weekend. Looks like that descent was a bit tricky!

Possibly the most torturous walk out ever. Sounds like you guys had a great time. I'll keep a look out for the next one.
