Hi..

Hi..

Postby Grumpy Old Man » Thu Jun 04, 2009 12:41 pm

Grumpy and middle-aged from the 'deep south' (Kent!) and another 'Scotophile'...found the site researching walks etc on Skye, including trying to prove to Mrs Grumpy that Bla Bheinn is quite do-able for all the family...

Full of admiration, though not envy, for the danglers and climbers.

A few trips to Skye (and other places in Scotland) over the last few decades and now manage to get there every year or two - with wife and offspring these days - and am a walker/ clamberer rather than a scrambler/ climber. Roll on April 2010...

Welcome fellow grumpy bugger...

I'm guessing you've used up your Highland Hillwalking Credits for the year?

at least you can enjoy vicariously through the reports on the site - I know I do!

Like you, I only manage to get into the Highlands once a year at the most. This site allows you access there everytime you fire up the computer, especialy when reading the cracking walking reports people post - dont forget to check out the reports outside of Scotland too. There are some great reports in regions that are more accessable to us poor folks of the lower regions of Britain

My usual tagline ends ...only grumpy on days ending in "y".

A gathering of the grumps would be a riot.

Probably a drunken one.
