Nice report of a good hike.As the 18th-19th Century poet William Blake put it; " The wild deer, wand'ring here and there, keeps the human soul from care." The state of the cairn bases really shows how much the soil has been eroded from the top.

The pic of you on Beinn Glas - is that your skateboard atop the cairn? Nice report and pics - like the labelling. Love the shot along the ridge to An Stuc - how did you get such good weather though? It's been appalling here all month and is due to be appalling when I come up to Scotland tomorrow!

Nicely annotated!

Last time I was on Ben Lawyers my summit photos show that from one cairn you cannot SEE the other... we were absolutely "in cloud".

I spent two years working on Loch Tay under Lawers but due to the fact I was working at the Outdoor centre I never had time to climb it. It’s on my list to do as I feel like I owe it to the mountain to climb it seeing as I have spent two years watching it through the seasons

Your walking mate doesn’t look too happy at the prospect of his walk ahead and even less happy on the summit shots

Good report – I enjoyed it.

Regards,

Paul
