Given the recent snowfalls we decided against a munro and thought we'd give Ben Venue a bash given that it has a rather fine reputation and was unlikely to engulf us in an avalanche. Also gave me a chance to test me new Khatoola microspikes, which i may add were rather damn fine splendid, and i assure you they were indeed required. This mother was plastered with ice. My unfortunate cousin didnt have anything apart from his boots of course and proceeded to take a battering in the botty stakes. He is now going to invest in a set of said spikes for future jollies.
The drive to the walk starting point was certainly interesting given the conditions of the roads but we werent to be deterred and arrived at ledard around 11am. A beautiful, clear day with a hint of bite in the gentle wind. Perfect conditions. Here be the piccies, and theres some belters.

Some lovely pictures there mighty midge.
Please don't take this as a negative - only think I'd add is one of the comments I got when I did my first walk report - could you add a description for each photo and its subject (either rename the photos or use the comment line when you add them to the site) to help the reader ?
Cheers

I was just being a lazy git to be honest. All photos, aside from the first 2 and last photo, are taken from the top of the hill. The last piccie was a rather impressive frozen waterfall you pass en route through the glen.
