Conor (my 9yr old) had been on and on at me to take him up Tinto over the holidays so we headed off this morning with his uncle too. Arrived at a packed car park at 11:20 and were on our way at 11:30. Very easy and wide path up this very popular little hill, lots of people walking...and running on the hill! Conor enjoyed the walk and spent most of the time eying other hills in view that we can tackle, he's really got the hill walking bug. Made the huge cairn summit at 12:40 and enjoyed lunch at the top. Big thanks to the lady who gave Conor her big Toblerone at the top, made her rucksack lighter for the return journey I guess...Headed back to the car and were back by 2pm.

The hill was very very busy with people well prepared for the sub zero tempratures and some not so well prepared - lady who felt it necessary to bring her hangbag with her to the top...crazy!

All in all a very enjoyable walk with my lad and good to get out.
