[Bruadair]

With one thing or another...the other being mainly weather related, I hadn't managed out since 31st December and had been keeping an eye on MWIS, so with forecast for today looking good I decided to take the day off work and head on up to SE hills.
I left the house at 7.00am with two walks in mind, but after being stuck on A80 between Auchenkilns & Castlecary for an hour the decision was basically made for me, so Meall Ghaordaidh was my hill for today and eventually arrived (extremely peckish) at parking area at approx 10.30am and after suiting up and a sandwich, started off through the gate on a NE direction up the track around 11.00am and once through next gate turned NW and headed for the sheepfold at (NN525371) and thereafter continued my assent in general NW direction via (NN516380) and then to craggy area at (NN513394) and finally turned NE for final assent to summit I had desided on a westerly approach as I considered possibly taking in one of the smaller surrounding hills either enroute or on desent, but with the 3 week lay off my legs convinced me otherwise so I concentrated on the main objective. With the sun beating down and as the assent started to get serious, a couple of layers had to go and they stayed scrunched up in my backpack until after reaching the snow line.
